An immigrant to the US from Russia at the age of 4, Sasha Rome's heritage has shaped the lens through which he sees the world every day.

A former guitarist and vocalist for the rock group “The Lost Cosmonauts,” Dan Sokolov took the songwriting skills he learned during his time with the rock group and blended them with his new EDM and Hip-hop influences to create his previous alias “Mir.” Mir has now become Sasha Rome, influenced in numerous genres including funk, house, indie rock and others. Sasha combines this into a wholly new, groovy mix reminiscent of a blend of Kaytranada and Tame Impala. Sasha Rome's single "Ukraine" landed him a spot as a featured artist on Bass Nation and his singles "Torn" and "Resistance" have garnered over 50k plays each and featured on a number of blogs.
