Detroit producer Austin Parlin’s music endeavors began in 2011, when he began producing dubstep out of his bedroom at the age of 12. An avid user of FL Studio, Austin was inspired early on by trap pioneers such as Mr. Carmack, RL Grime, and Hucci. Since then, under the moniker “paaus”, he has grown into his own hybrid-trap sound, heard most notably in his tracks “prophecy” and “RAGE”. In 2018, alongside fellow producer capshun, paaus co-founded Bonsai Collective, and helped to recruit a diverse team of artists, which has rapidly grown into one of the spearheads of experimental electronic music.
